The “send example” option allows you to quickly preview the resulting e-mail that will be sent to the lists. The example e-mail will be sent to the address of the platform’s user, as set by the administrator.
To send the example, just click on “Send Example”. There are no limits to the number of examples that can be sent.
During this example the system will automatically create (if it doesn’t already exist) a lead, setting by default the e-mail of the user. This way you will also be able to test and verify the application of a lead’s information to the dynamic fields. This example will be sent even if the lead is set to “Opt Out”, “Do Not Call” or “Do Not Contact”.
SEND A TEST
Sending a test allows you to send the e-mail to a lead for a last test prior to the general blast, therefore prior to clicking “Send”. To proceed with the test just associate the desired Test Lists to the e-mails (see “Create A List” chapter) and then click “Send To Test Lists”.
The test will also send the e-mail to leads that have set “Opt out”, “Do Not Call” or “Do Not Contact”. There are no limits to the number of tests which can be performed, therefore each time you click “Send To Test Lists” the system will send the e-mails to the test lists (even if the e-mail has already been sent previously).
To send the e-mail to the definitive lists and the Seed List just click on “Send”. At this point you will be shown a pop-up window asking you to confirm this action, so if you are ready just click on “Send”. Once the e-mails have been sent you can always perform another blast by clicking on “Send”; This could be useful if you want to send the e-mail to leads that were not initially included. There is no risk of sending an e-mail to the same lead twice.
You can always put the blast on hold by clicking on “Stop”, which shows up as the alternative of “Send” once you have clicked it.
Seed Lists are special lists which can be associated to the e-mail. When you click “Send” you are also sending the e-mail to the Seed List. Sending to Seed Lists will also send the e-mail to all those contacts who opted for “Opt Out”, “Do Not Call” or “Do Not Contact”. There are no limits to the number of e-mails that can be sent, therefore each time you press “Send” the system will send the e-mail to the Seed Lists (even if the e-mail had already been sent before). A scheduled blast allows you to send e-mails at a predetermined time on a predetermined date.
To set a scheduled blast set up the e-mail as you would for the “Final Send”.
After you have chosen the desired e-mail from the “Manage E-mails” menu, click on the “Schedule” button which you can find in the top right-hand corner. Set the date and time at which you want the e-mail to be sent by clicking in the appropriate fields and finally click on “Schedule”.
- The selected date must be greater than today (in the future)
- You must set both time and date
If you change your mind, just click on “Schedule” again and modify the date and time as you please.
Once you receive the confirmation message by the software, you can always cancel the scheduled blast by clicking on “Press here to cancel” button, which you will find in the details of the e-mail.
