Creating a new role

To create a new role from the platform click on “Roles”, then click on “New”. Type in a “Name” for the role so that you will be able to spot it. A description can also be added in the “Description” box.

If the user that you wish to create should not have full access to the platform, click on the folder “Permits”, where you will find on the left a list of all the active modules in the platform. Clicking on the single module allows you to set the permits for that record as seen on the right. More specifically:

  • Create: The user can create a record
  • Visualize: The user can visualize records created by him or others
  • Visualize Personal: The user can see records created by him
  • Visualize others: The user can visualize records created by others
  • Modify: The user can modify records created by him or others
  • Modify Personal: Ther user can modify records created by him
  • Modify others: The user can modify records created by others
  • Delete: The user can delete records created by him or others
  • Delete Personal: The user can delete records created by him
  • Delete others: The user can delete records created by others
  • Publish: The user can modify the “Published” field for records created by him or others
  • Publish Personal: The user can modify the “Published” field for records created by him
  • Publish others: The user can modify the “Published” field for records created by others
  • Absolute: The user can manage the whole module
  • Manage: The user can manage the whole module

Should the record be a Lead, the Owner of the record will be used for reference, while in the other situations the user that created the record will be used for reference.
